Sri Kanchi Kamakoti Peetham was established by Sri Adi Sankara in the year 482 B.C. Since then, it has had illustrious, unbroken lineage of 70 Acharyas leading at the helm in the illuminating path of Sanathana Dharma.
Objective : Preserving and nurturing the rich traditions of Indian Vedic culture to enrich future generations through Integrated Patasalas that give them the advantage of both modern and traditional education. Vidyarthis are provided FREE accommodation, food with necessary facilities. A devoted and dedicated team of staff take care of the vidyarthis traditional education along with modern education, taking care of their nutrition, medical needs and recreational sports. The campus is provided with 24*7 security personnel along with CCTV surveillance.
Sri Pratyaksha Charitable Trust was started in the year 2008 with the divine blessings of His Holinesses of Sri Kanchi Kamakoti Peetam for the development and safeguarding of rich Indian culture, heritage and tradition. India’s greatest tresaure that we are a country with diversified people of various culture and tradition. His Holinesses have always admired the fascination of Unity in Diversity within our country.
The Trust is involved in the noble task of upholding the rich Hindu heritage and the tenets of Dharma through a series of activities and programmes.
Some of the key areas that the Trust focuses on include Indian heritage & culture, rural development and community service. They provide support for Patashalas, scholars, education schemes, education scholarship, scholarships to those pursuing heritage education, monetary assistance to elderly scholars, schemes for women empowerment, girls education, assistance to girl children, rural development, cultural programmes, promoting music and arts, conducting special programmes in J&K and North-East India, marriage assistance, renovating heritage structures, publications, conducting Youth Tourism programmes to inculcate awareness of ancient Indian heritage, seminars, symposiums and more.
